First of all, I wish you all an amazing 2011.
2010 seemed to be shitty for a lot of people, so I hope there will be some retribution.
This past year has simply taught me how to be better at surving, and that I'm not as alone as I think I am. Thank you to all of you for not letting me fall into despair ;)

On to more awesome things, because IT'S REVEAL DAY!!

Let's start withSecret Santa #1

MetaCollapse )

Now for Yuletide.

Meta AKA OMG I GOT TO WRITE INCEPTION RPF AND TSN RPFCollapse )

I'll get around to posting these on the fic LJ and on comms asap. I'm sorry I'm so absent lately, it's really not my intention, but I can barely get my hands on the laptop atm. The grandmother's visiting and she doesn't appreciate being ignored in lieu of The Internet, and when she finally goes to bed, I'm so mentally exhausted I can't even concentrate. I haven't written since finishing the Yuletide fics, which is just crap.
I've got a request to fill asap, which will be ready in a few days max, and then I'll probably focus a little on TSN and on the sequel to my NBB.

An end-of-year post will also belatedly happen at one point.

I'd just like to officially thank blue_ant, zeraparker and miranda_skye (awesome Xmas card is awesome) for gifting me with amazing happy mail :D

PS: Um. I have an epic length Arthur/Eames plot in my head too. Send help.

(Extremely belated) Happy Birthday to the dear, wonderful, fabulous, amazing, beyond-talented epistolic, she who writes some of the best Inception fic out there and whom everyone should fangirl over, really.

I hope you've had a beautiful day! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Little something I made in your honour yesterdayCollapse )

general side note: I've loved Massive Attack's Inertia Creeps for, well, years (it was the soundtrack to two of my Summer Slash fics), and I'm back to being addicted to it because it is The Arthur/Eames Song par excellence, and the whole fandom knows it, and of course I used it on my Arthur/Eames fanmix too.

Quote of the week:
I love Twilight because it exposes people for who they really are: desperate sheep.

As seen on Tumblr.
Ah, humanity. How we thrive on being sheep.
We move in masses because that's well-seen.
This is just another example.

I'm going to post this (belatedly), because I wasn't going to at first but I've been 20 for 2 hours and I feel like I should be more responsible :P Also, I'm a first-timer with this and it really helped to read my person's letter, so I can see now why they're so valuable.

First of all, allow me to direct you towards my newest music mix Poisoned stories. It's a general mix, so take your pick, give it a try, tell me what you think =)

Second of all, I'm going to try regularly translating Jaime Alguersuari's blog (as regularly as possible). This is mainly for loveberlinxo and whoever else likes him and can't read the blog because it's in Spanish, but it's also because I really like how he writes. I'm not generally that much of a fan of known people's blogs, tbh, but this one I definitely like. I'll do my best in translating it as well as possible to convey that he's good with words ^^

It seems I'm even more displeased with these icons than I was with the ones for previous rounds *headdesk* I made most of them this weekend, what with the cold and all, and I found myself quite uncreative and uninspired (despite this being Luca, which should have had me very inspired :P). Anyway, glad I managed to finish them what with the hazy state of my mind due to the eeky cold (that now has developed into a strong cough, ffs), I've been in an icon-marathon for the last few hours :P I love to make things complicated for myself D: I was also reminded of my intense love for lack of decent Luca photos prior to 2000...the only ones I have prior to that are very bad quality, something that contributed to my happiness. And yes, I did make the border for the border prompt white...lack of brain cells that day.

The usual drill: enjoy, comments are very appreciated, resources listed on my profile page and visit motors20in20 for the rest of the awesome icons in this round ;)

After being linked (by miranda_skye) to this article by Ed Gorman (it's brilliant and angsty :P) and after the general angst I've been feeling about this, here is a randomly assorted Luca 'mix. It has ten songs, both instrumental and vocal. I didn't feel like colours, so the art is b&w ^^ And because I thought this didn't take long enough, I made some more b&w pics for every song :P (mostly from Spa and Valencia). The text on the cover art is from the aforementioned article.

Hope you'll enjoy it ;) Including songs by: Linkin Park, Coldplay, Two steps from hell, Rob Dougan, Hajime Mizoguchi, Ludovico Einaudi, 30STM, New Order and Moby.

The image I will never forget is of Luca, having got out and climbed over the wall with his helmet and balaclava off, leaning on the barrier trying to collect himself.Collapse )
